British instant coupling
BS336 Instant Fire Couplings also known as John Morris Couplings are similar in design to Cam Lock Couplings and are used in; UK, Ireland, New Zealand, India and Hong Kong Fire Brigades.They are available in two sizes: 1+1⁄2″ INST (FETA, for 38mm hose tails only) and 2+1⁄2″ INST (BS336).
Hozellock
In 1959,[8] Hozelock Ltd of the UK invented and patented the international standard plastic, snap-on, push-on hose end fitting, now used with garden hoses.The concept was developed to replace metal hose end fittings prone to static sparking and the potential for methane gas explosions in coal mines.An all-metal version of the connector (and compatible with the plastic version) is now common for garden hoses.This system is now commonly used by gardeners around the world. Hozelock brand adapters typically offer BSP threads, while compatible Gardena brands, sold primarily in the US, use ¾-11.5NH (garden hose threads) threads. There are two different size fittings available, larger fittings are uncommon and primarily used for +3⁄4" hose.
Leverlock
A cam and lock coupler for agricultural use.Also known by manufacturers' brand names including Bauer, Perrot and Miller/Ferrari. Available in sizes from 2" to 12".
Maginot
Japanese quick connect and disconnect fittings used on Japanese fire hoses, as defined by JIS B9911;Available in a variety of sizes: 25A (1″), 40A (1+1⁄2″), 50A (2 +1⁄2”), 65A (2”), 75A (3”).
Tankwagen flange coupling
Also known as TW couplings or tanker couplings, these were originally defined by DIN 28450 but are now specified by EN ISO 14420-6. Couplings are widely used in petrochemical, chemical, food and other industries.
Quick connect garden hose couplings
Various manufacturers sell the same style of quick-connect garden hose couplings.The design is conceptually similar to the plastic Hozelock design in that the female coupling has a spring-loaded outer barrel that locks onto the male coupling, but both couplings are usually made of brass and the male coupling Missing common rubber o-rings on Hozelock couplers.
